On Friday, April 18th, the CA. Park Service recommended SF Rec and Park Department’s application for a Land and Water Conservation Grant for the Noe Valley Town Square to the National Park Service (NPS). The recommendation was for a $743,534 grant.
This is fantastic news, and although we are optimistic that Rec and Park will receive this grant, the NPS will not make its final decision until October.
Also on Friday, April 18th, the State of California visited the Town Square as part of our Prop 84 Urban Greening Grant. This grant is highly competitive with great projects throughout the state. We should have more information to share with you on May 22 regarding this grant.
Residents For Noe Valley Town Square would like to thank Toni Moran of SF Rec and Parks and Chris Guillard of CMG Landscape Architecture for their outstanding work on these two grants.
More to follow, stay tuned.
