Acoustic Sunday: Au Contraires
The Au Contraires are a Bay Area acoustic quartet playing French cafe music,
swing standards, and hot jazz from the 1920s and 30s. Our special recipe
mixes up a little bit of Django, a few jiggers of Fats Waller, and a dash of
Lady Day, served up on accordion, gypsy guitar, and upright bass. We love to
share these joyful songs with you, just as they were played in the cafes, street
corners, and dancehalls of the past.
